China

Take your students on an exciting adventure to one of the most ancient civilizations in the world. China is a perfect destination for history and language students with its imperial architecture and main language of Mandarin. Visit Beijing, the capital of China, and allow yourself into the Forbidden City of preserved ancient buildings or take a stroll along the famous Great Wall. Travel over to Xi’an to see the First Emperor’s Terracotta Army, or switch gears and visit the modern metropolis of Shanghai and the sci-fi skyline of Pudong.

Beijing is a city with ancient ties and an important place in the modern era. Students can explore world-famous landmarks such as Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall of China.

Shanghai

Shanghai is where East meets West through its obsession for the latest fads, fashion and technology. Explore eccentric architecture in the Pudong district or visit old Shanghai for its temples, monasteries and classical Chinese gardens.

Xi'an

Xi’an is one of the oldest cities in China and home to several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history. Visit the City Wall of Xi’an, Terracotta Warrior Museum, and Big Wild Goose Square – the most renowned symbols of this ancient city.

Day Three

  • Visit Tiananmen Square, the third largest city square in the world
  • Walk to the Forbidden City, an awesome 250 acre complex of Palaces, Pavilions and Gardens

  • Visit Olympic Park 
  • Beijing Roast Duck Dinner 

Day Four

  • Great Wall of China – visit the Juyongguan Section Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Explore 798 Art Zone – an artistic community located in the Chaoyang District
  • Lunch at a local restaurant 
  • Tour the National Gallery
  • Kung Fu Show - visit the Kung Fu Theatre to watch this amazing traditional Kung Fu show 

Day Five

  • Visit the Temple of Heaven and participate in a Tai Chi lesson
  • Experience a traditional Tea Tasting
  • Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Time for shopping at the Silk market
  • Dinner at a local restaurant 

Day Six

  • Fly to Xi’an, one of the oldest cities in China
  • Visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda Square, the symbol of Xi’an
  • Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Travel to the Ancient City Wall of the Ming Dynasty
  • Check in your hotel
  • Dumpling Banquet and Tang Dynasty Show - a wonderful performance of ancient music and dance 

Day Seven

  • Tour the Local Craft Factory - see how the world-famous Terracotta warriors are made!
  • Visit the Terracotta Warrior Museum, China’s first and largest imperial tomb
  • Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Visit a local school
  • Dinner at a local restaurant 

Day Eight

  • Calligraphy Lesson at the Tang Dynasty Art Museum - learn the art of this traditional and ancient form of writing
  • Free time to explore Xi’an
  • Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Fly back to Beijing
  • Dinner at a local restaurant
  • Check in to your hotel 

Day Nine

  • Take a rickshaw ride through the Hutong Area
  • Lunch at the Hutong
  • Time for shopping on Wangfujing Street
  • Dinner at a local restaurant 

Day Ten

  • Transfer to Airport for Return Flight home
