With over 850 recorded bird species, 100 species of mammals and one of the most important cloud forests, Costa Rica is a model of sustainable development and conservation.

The capitol city of Costa Rica, San Jose is the hub of Costa Rican culture. Explore the wonders of the city’s Gold Museum and enjoy an afternoon at one of the famous café’s drinking the country’s famous coffee.

Canopy Zipline Tour

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

This famed cloud forest is home to over six ecological zones and 90% of the reserve consists of virgin forests. An important international research and conservation district, Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve will provide your students with a rare look into such a unique world.

Arenal Volcano

Arenal Volcano is an active and often-studied volcano within Costa Rica. While the activity within recent decades has been minor, ash columns, lava flow at its summit and underground rumblings can still be felt at this site.

• Board your flight for San Jose
• Arrive in San Jose

Day 2

• Transfer to Monteverde
• Cloud Forest Biological Reserve – This reserve features six different life zones and over 400 species of birds, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles and 100 species of mammals

Day 3

• La Reserve de Santa Elena – This site is known for its gigantic ferns, bamboo and palm trees that grow in abundance beneath Costa Rica's giant tropical forest canopy
• Canopy Zipline Tour – Enjoy 15 cables and 18 platforms, with experienced guides supporting you the whole way along this breathtaking journey

Day 4

• Transfer to Arenal
• La Fortuna - This quiet town offers a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano, the most active of its kind in Costa Rica

Day 5

• Arenal Volcano - Experience a guided walk around the base of the volcano, taking in a majestic view of both the massive structure and the lake that surrounds it
• La Fortuna Waterfall - This magnificent waterfall splashes down turquoise water from a dizzying height of 70 meters

Day 6

• Transfer to Sarapiqui
• Tirimbina Rain Forest – This reserveprovides and educational experience and a site rich for scientific research

Day 7

• Transfer to Cahuita
• Leisure Time in Cahuita - This relaxing city on the coast of Costa Rica is yours to explore for the day. A gorgeous white sand beach is an ideal location to unwind and bask in the warm Pacific waters

Day 8

• Cahuita National Park - This national park features the only mature coral reef on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. A variety of marine life populates the reef and a snorkeling tour of the area will be provided for you to get an up-close and personal view

Day 9

• Transfer to San José
• Leisure Time in San José - Take some time to get a little shopping in with local artisans in San José

Day 10

• Depart for your return flight home
