Brightspark Group

Safety & Security

We take safety seriously.

Transportation

We use bus companies that have a proven safety record and are well known in the community.

Night Supervision

We ensure our Canadian trips are supervised 24 hours a day by providing night supervision using a private security firm (optional for US trips).

Tour Leaders

Our Tour Leaders are trained to be safety conscious at all times and learn how to deal with a variety of emergency situations during their intensive training program.

Contact Information

The phone numbers for the hotel and our toll-free number are provided prior to the trip departure.

24-hour Emergency Hotline

While on tour, there is a 24HR emergency hotline students can call in the event that they become separated from the group. We will contact their group Tour Leader and direct them to where the students are located. This hotline may also be used for parents that need to contact their children in the event of an emergency.

Student Identification

Every student will receive a souvenir lanyard with a "Call Home For Free" phone card and emergency numbers. Our bright orange lanyard makes it easy for Tour Leaders and teachers to identify their group.

Insurance

We offer parents and students the option of purchasing travel insurance prior to departure as protection against unforeseen and costly events. The Travel Guard Platinum Package covers trip cancellation prior to departure, medical coverage on tour and travel advisories or school board ruling as outlined in the insurance policy. Please see policy for complete details.
