Registration FAQs

Can payments be made online? Yes. We have an online portal where parents and families can make payments directly to us.
How are payment dates set? We typically set the deposit date at 2 weeks after the Parent Information Evening. The remainder of the balance is split into interim and final payments. The final payment is due 60 days prior to departure for domestic trips and 90 days prior to departure for international trips.
How can I pay for my child's trip? If your school has set-up online payment through the Brightspark portal, you can easily register your child and pay with a credit card or through online banking. Please note that we do not accept American Express or e-transfers. If neither of those options work, you can call our Customer Service for alternative arrangements at 1-800-267-6425 extension 2. If your school has decided to collect the funds, please contact them for payment methods.
How do I pay through my bank? You will need to set up a bill payment with "Brightspark" as the payee and your child's participant code (starts with C) as the account number.
How do I remove my autopay? Once you have logged in, click on "payment details" then click on "remove autopay" on the left-hand side under the auto-pay box. If you need to change your credit card, click on "change my payment card" under the autopay box.
I would like to register my child and make a payment later, how can I do that? Unfortunately, all spots are on a first come, first served basis. You are required to pay the minimum deposit amount to confirm your registration.
Is the deposit refundable? The deposit is non-refundable. Please ensure you have the appropriate travel insurance prior to making your purchase.
What is your cancellation policy? Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. All payments up to the full cost of the trip are non-refundable and non-transferrable between 60 days and the date of departure for Canadian and US destinations, and between 90 days and day of departure for international destinations. Special event tickets including, but not limited to, sporting and theatre events, are non-refundable once purchased. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance at the time of deposit to protect your purchase.
What methods of payment do you accept? We accept Credit Cards (Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard) and Bill Payments (BMO, Scotiabank, TD, RBC, CIBC, Tangerine, Meridian and National Bank). **Please note we do not accept American Express or e-transfers.
What should I do if I forgot my password? Click on "login/register". Then under login, click on "forgot my password." Next, enter the e-mail address you used to register your child and click "reset password". You will be e-mailed a link from Brightspark to create a new password.
Why should we purchase the Travel Guard Insurance being offered? Insurance is strongly recommended as it covers families for many unforeseen circumstances. In addition to this, the school board can cancel the trip for any reason and your trip cost would be covered.
Your system is not accepting my password. Your password needs to be at least 6 characters long and contains one of each of the following: a capital letter, lowercase letter, number and symbol (!, @, *).
